Prayer Request For Joe Enriquez
It has come to our attention recently that Joe Enriquez, also known as Gadfly J, and St. Augustinian, is in the hospital and not doing well. We received news earlier this evening that Joey was placed in intensive care. He is not conscious, but somewhat stable at the present time.
Joey has struggled with Cystic Fybrosis which is a genetic disease that affects the lungs. From our conversations with Joey in the past, he had informed us that he had reached and surpassed the life expectancy which is approximately 36 years.
We are sending out a request that everyone keep Joey and his family in prayer. Also please pray for his wife and family. Pray if it be God’s will that a lung donor would become available for Joey.
It is in these difficult times that the Lord ministers to us. We know that nothing comes to us except the hand of the Lord send it. May the Lord be glorified in this situation. Scripture says in Galatians 6:2, that we are to “bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
Joey and the Enriquez family, you are in our prayers. May the grace of God comfort you, strengthen you, and keep you.
“The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23

I’ts good to see that though we were divided in the past we can come together as brothers and sisters to pray for one another in tragic times as these. Jeannette and I are praying for you Joey and for your family, may the Lord grant you peace and comfort in this trying time.

After experiencing my uncle die of CF I know how horrible the disease can be. I will lift Joe up to the Lord for mercy and a transplant. God has been so merciful in our lives! Shouldn’t we also ask our Lord and plead with Him for His blessed mercy on others? Joe may not have much time- now is the time to be pleading for God’s mercy and grace on him.
Thanks for letting us know Mario.

I boast in the Lord that my brothers and sisters have not returned evil for evil and can bring this urgent request before the Lord’s throne with a clear conscience. O the Grace of God…
“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.”–Romans 8:26-27
That is to say that: “Christ intercedes for us in heaven, the Spirit intercedes for us in our hearts; so graciously has God provided for the encouragement of the praying remnant. The Spirit, as an enlightening Spirit, teaches us what to pray for, as a sanctifying Spirit works and excites praying graces, as a comforting Spirit silences our fears, and helps us over all our discouragements. The Holy Spirit is the spring of all our desires and breathings towards God.”–Matthew Henry
May our Perfect Messiah grant great grace & mercy to the Enriquez Family…
