FD Big Announcement

by Stephen Macasil on February 11, 2008 · 14 comments

It’s here. A giant step forward in the New Reformation is being taken today. Many of you have been following the clues left in the comments section of the previous posts, wondering and guessing what the big news will be. So far, only four clues have been given. #1: Relevant. #2: Old school. #3: Morey. #4: Accessible. #’s 5 and 6 were scheduled to be released tonight and tomorrow, but the time came a day early. Clue #5 was: No charge, and #6 was: Starting now! But take a look at the clues when stacked vertically, and look for the acrostic.

Relevant

Old school

Morey

Accessible

No charge

Starting now!

P.S. The 62 lectures will be released at the rate of two per week. They will also be archived so people that begin listening late can start from the beginning. When you subscribe to the podcast on itunes, your computer will automatically download and archive each lecture as they are released. May God use the resources for his glory!

My Pastor just started Romans! Pretty Amazing. I’m subscribing via Google. Can’t stand itunes.

Google isn’t a podcatcher though. They just offer a rss reader. To download automatically, i would suggest Juice. I can’t stand itunes either.

This is great news you guys. Just the sort of thing i was hoping FD would do!

This is great! I am attending a mens study on Romans at my local “Church of the Descending Dove.” Lord willing, these studies will be of use to me and the group in gaining a biblical, God honoring understanding or Romans.

Thank you Dr. Morey and all at Faith Defenders for making this available!

I would like to see all of his stuff in MP3 format so it can be bought cheaply and downloaded to my Ipod. I would love the series on Natural Theology, but it is way out of my pocket book league. Let’s make it happen folks!

Fred, it’s in the works right now as I type this comment. Hang in there; we’re close! We’ve run in to some minor issues (only 24 hours in a day is one of them) along the way, but things are looking good by God’s grace.

I was able to download the Romans podcast from Google in MP3 format. I didn’t run it all the way through, but the first few seconds works with Windows Media Player.

Nice!! Love it!! Sweet intro, too!

This is truly wonderful. But what is not so wonderful, but rather embarrasing, is that Santa brought me an I-Prod, and I still don’t know how to use the darn thing. I download stuff to my computer, but then can’t find it, much less get it onto the I-Plod! If there is a Saint Techie out there with a gift of HELPS (and a little patience), please call 714-526-6849. Ask for The Genious.

Does anyone want to discuss lecture one?

The “table of contents” in my Bible has the books grouped together according to the first lecture: OT: 593-5593 and NT: Manifestation, Proclamation, Explanation, Application, and Expectation.

Then, next to each individual book I wrote the “theme.” Darrin and I (FYI: Darrin is teaching tomorrow night at the apologetics class) went through each NT book and wrote each book’s theme in the header, along with any other relevant information, such as: Matthew – theme: what Jesus said – Written to the Jews – Emphasis: the words of Christ – Historical bridge to the OT. We did this with each book. It was a great Bible study that lasted about an hour or so.

P.S. My favorite part of lecture one is when Dr. Morey was outlining Romans and he came to chapters 6 and 7. He said that “chapter 6 teaches that you’re dead to sin, but in chapter 7 we learn that it ain’t dead to you!” I thought that would be helpful to those that hold to the position that Paul is referring to his unregenerate state (as an unbeliever) in Romans 7.

@Will, if you haven’t been helped yet, give me a call 323 313 9487. I should be up until 11:30 pm. If not then holla tomorrow anytime after 3 pm

Stephen, I listened to the study today and it was great. I will give it another listen and I will post any thoughts.

I am curious where Dr. Bob got the bio information about the Haladanes in Russia? I am taking that this was after Catherine the Great?
