Closing Statement from James White on John 6:44

Mario Herrera

Last week we looked at a portion of a debate between James White and George Bryson. It is clear that there are many out there who want to know the whole truth according to Scripture alone! It is clear that George Bryson could not make sense of John 6:44, according to his own understanding. Here is the closing statement from James White. May it lead us to take off the snorkels we’ve been using to swim along the surface of Scripture, and put on SCUBA tanks and learn to dive deep into the Word of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Once again, we invite conversation unto the edification of the saints. May the Lord strengthen and guide us. May we not be as those who declare, “if that is the God you serve, I will not worship a God like that!” May we bow in grace to Scripture alone!

I gather from what James said, that George, said that Revelation 3:2, was to sinners. The Romans road to salvation, is where lots of people get that idea. That just shows how bad George’s exegesis of the Scripture is.

All you could hear from Geoge Bryson is a dial tone! Jame White lit it up to the GLORY OF GOD!

May we who subscribe to fides reformata semper reformanda not be perceived as “having all the answers” or having God and His word “all figured out” (as some on this blog and elsewhere have stated)!

I’m sure I can get a witness that Reformed theology does nothing but aid in shining a bright light on our depravity…and helps to establish an awe for God’s perfect grace! What wickedness the Lord has shown me to have in my own heart…daily I ask His forgivness and pray that He not leave me the way I have come to my prayer closet.

Mario…this clip is an excellent summary of Reformed thinking according to Scripture!

  4. The apostolic proclamation: repent and believe! Notice how James affirmed the truth of the necessity for God to first remove the heart of stone and replace it with a heart of flesh (reformed doctrine of regeneration) in order to acknowledge and worship the biblical God. So many non-Calvinists take issue with this revealed biblical truth and attempt to construct an unbiblical theology that is contra apostolic doctrine.

Thank you James for your faithful closing statements!
