The LORD is righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has made. (Ps. 145:17 NIV)
This verse was used in an online debate I was part of to prove that God loves everyone unconditionally. My opponent argued, "Did God not make everything - including those who are unbelieving...whether they will eventually believe or not? This Scripture violates the thought of the ‘selective love' of God."
I had ...

This morning's daily devotion (FD Daily Devotions) was so good I had to share it with you all. Those that have subscribed to the Daily Devotions by email will no doubt agree that the past 9 days have been filled with meditative thoughts on the Messiah's work on the cross. They started out slow, laying the foundational principles for the studies, but now that the second chapter has ...

Preaching in an obviously "black" church (one of Dr. Morey's favorite places to be), Dr. Robert Morey gives three reasons why he's not a Muslim after studying it for years. This lecture will go down in history in the "classics" section...
Since Muslims cannot accept the God of Christianity, the Jesus of Christianity, and the Bible of Christianity, Morey narrows the hundreds of reasons he's not a Muslim down ...

Only a couple more days left until the daily email devotions start. The list is growing daily, and if you haven't subscribed yet you can do it here. Keep in mind that if you are already on another list but haven't joined the daily devotions email list you won't begin receiving them on June 1st. The FD eNewsletter list subscribers are not automatically added to the daily email ...

My cousin, Michelle, wrote an article, The Jihadi Virus in our Jails which can be read here. Michelle's article begins: President Obama's speech on homeland security was 6,072 words long. Curiously, he chose not to spare an "a," "and" or "uh" on the New York City terror bust that dominated headlines the morning of his Thursday address. Did the teleprompter run out of room?
After a yearlong investigation launched ...

Read the letter sent by Dr. Peter Hammond regarding the thousands of books Faith Defenders sent to Africa after the buck-a-book donation/fund-raiser last year. The books finally arrived and Dr. Morey's books are being distributed all over Africa with great results being reported! Morey's books will be used as textbooks at the William Carey Bible Institute and other Bible Colleges in Africa.
Praise the Lord! And pray that the ...

Just a quick note in case you haven't checked out the FD site in the past few days.
How To Witness To Mormons
This article suggests not arguing over Scripture and doctrine with Mormons since the authority of Joseph Smith as a "prophet" of God is the real issue. The article gives irrefutable evidence (5 of the 64 false prophecies given by Smith) that Joseph Smith was a false prophet.

Daniel Chew, a dear Reformed brother of mine in Singapore, draws an interesting parallel between New Calvinism and New Evangelicalism, the movement New Calvinism emerged from. Chew notes how one of New Evangelicalism's characteristic traits (being positive) has not been on the list of items needing reform by New Calvinists and as a result has crossed over into the New Calvinist movement becoming a characteristic trait shared with ...

Pastor-Teacher Ken Silva (one of the hardest working people in apologetics these days) has a post on the Apprising Ministries site here that gives an inside look to an "Emergence Christianity" "Easter Gathering." In case you've ever wondered what EC folks do when they gather and express their anthropocentric religious systems, click through and give it a look!

Many evangelicals, including those supposedly opposed to the emerging church movement might assume that Karl Barth was reliable as a guide to spiritual truth. They may read some of his works and agree with him prima facie as he speaks of God's revelation in Christ, the redemption/reconciliation through Christ, etc. They may even take Barth to represent orthodox biblical Christianity believing he defends Christ's "literal" resurrection according to ...
