I want to (formally) introduce Danny Pelichowski to all of you as the next contributing author to be added here at biblicalthought.com. I’ve known Danny for a few years, and as his wife (and mine) can attest, those few years have not been spent with minimal contact. Danny and I have personally worked closely together through many intricate theological details to clarify and support our understanding of the biblical worldview that the Lord Jesus demands.
Danny graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Biola University, La Mirada, CA, and is now working on his MDiv at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. He was married to his beautiful bride on 07/07/07 (an extremely biblical date!), and is a church member in good standing at Immanuel Baptist Church in Louisville, KY. He is also currently being personally mentored by Professor Tom Nettles (SBTS).
For Danny’s testimony, please see his Spiritual Autobiography Written For Seminary.
Please give him a warm BT welcome as he prepares to post his first series, a recently completed expansion on a paper he wrote on the Atonement. The series should be a blessing to all here. The title of Danny’s first series will be: For Whom Did Christ Die?

::warm applause:: (is that a BT welcome?) Yay Danny!
So i was wondering about that 777. How is it biblical (and extremely, at that)? I’ve always seen Christians put it in their screen names and emails, but never got it. One time someone told me it meant perfection, but where is that in Scripture? Is it just because each digit is one better than 666, another mysterious number? I know 7 is a number God seems to be fond of, along with 3, but what’s up with 777?
Hi Becky,
The use of “extremely” was more tongue-in-cheek than a serious statement. But your questions are good about seven. You basically got it right, just need it sewn up here and there.
First, 777 isn’t a biblical doctrine, it’s more of a Christian construct or convention that recognizes the significance of 7 and 3. I’m of the opinion that most of the time it is used to counter the whole 666 idea, but it’s anecdotal.
But for fun,
Seven has biblical significance as you’ve noted (completion, perfection, etc.).
So does three.
666 has particular fame in eschatalogical speculations.
666 is three sixes.
777 is “three” sevens.
777 kinda sounds like a defeater of 666!
But I once held the “opinion” that since Scripture says we are all continually falling short of the glory of God, the beast is the representation of eternally falling short in that his “fate” is sealed and declared as such via the prophetic numeration of his identity…Sounds stupid now, but it “seemed” right a long time ago!
I’ve also heard that 777 has significance in Las Vegas…
Did Danny plan to have his wedding on 7/7/07 for that reason, or did it just fall on that day through normal planning?
I think they planned for that date. I remember when he first told me the date. I said, “Great date. Now you can be sure it will be blessed of God.” or some joking remark of that effect.
Danny,
We can’t wait to read your Biblical Theology. Is Danny the first Polish Theologian on BT?
Oh duh i said three and i didn’t even think of that. People just REALLY like it so i wanted to know if i was missing something.
I think 07/07/07 was a rather popular date. A daughter of a client at work got married that days and a past coworker wanted to, but wasn’t able to get any venues she wanted and got married on the 6th instead.
I wanted the 7th Harry Potter book to come out that day. How hard would it be to push up the release two weeks? This is what coffee was invented for!
Go Poland!
Hello Danny
I am doing a personal study on the Atonement and the Cross of Christ
this will be a very welcome read…and Welcome Danny.
John
Thanks Stephen for the introduction and welcome here at Biblical Thought. I am honored to be able to contribute.
And yes, my wife and I planned our wedding on 7/7/07 because we thought it might make us holy and sinless. Turns out it was a great and memorable day but we realized more than ever when we got married that we are still sinners in need of the grace of God daily to anything good. Of course, I’m joking, not about my sin but about the reason for picking the date. I just really like the number 7. I have always had that number on the back of my jersey playing sports through high school and I even wore the number 7 recently in a Chili’s softball tournament here in Louisville.
Peter, I may be the only Polish Calvinist who has over 11 gigs of Dr. Bob audio on my computer but not the first Polish theologian. Although, I must say that I have never quoted a Polish theologian in a paper or read any books by a Polish theologian. Something to look into I guess. Why don’t you check into that for me so I can better know my roots?
Danny: Peter said on BT. Not ever. So you don’t need to check your roots, but the ethnicities of the other contributing authors.
Peter: I think he may be the first. Although, there has been a Polish (mutt) contributor to BT Exclusives, but she wouldn’t consider herself a theologian.
But for non-BT, Wikipedia says there’s 15, but we know better to trust what they say, because they included Pope John Paul II http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Polish_theologians
The Encyclopaedia Brittanica cites one reformed theologian http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/331000/Jan-Laski-the-Younger

Welcome Danny, its good to see faithful people accross america are contibuting their knowladge and time
Way to do your homework on that one, Becky! Danny is in good company.
Hey Danny, maybe you can share with us any insights you get from Tom Nettles. I know I would be eager to hear how that goes.
I’m Polish too, so i was interested. Never thought to look into that before.
Hello,
Since I’m among the family of biblicalthought.com, I volunteer my services in becoming the newest contributing author to Dr. Morey’s blog.
I know Stephen will become excited at the though,t among others.
Since I seem to know Morey’s theology better then virtually everybody on here, it would be my privilege.
I’ll await my passwords : )

P.S. Just kidding : )
Hi Danny~
We miss seeing you in the bookstore…sadly there is no more bookstore…I guess we miss both!
Welcome…look forward to reading your work!
R. M.
Stacy and I miss you too! We are saving a lot of money weekly because our current church doesn’t have a bookstore with tons of audio lectures, debates, and books. I miss the great resources but am happy to be able to be able to listen and takes notes on the Romans lectures online for free! Take care and God bless.
P.S. good work on getting the word out on the abortion facts before the election. That was very sad but informative. Let your post and our daily witness in the workplace, schools, church, and world be a light as we preach the Gospel to unbelievers that they may be saved and realize the foolishness of their wicked ways.
Peter,
Hey man, as you know I have been blessed to be placed in a shepparding group which is a small group that meets once a month at Southern Seminary with a professor. Dr. Tom Nettles leads the group that I am in and we basically get to ask him questions about the ministry and any other topic we wish to discuss. Our last meeting before the end of this past semester I asked if we could discuss the extent of the atonement and Dr. Ware’s view on the topic. I am planning on posting a summary and outline of our discussion. It was very helpful and interesting to hear what he had to say about the topic seeing that he is a personal friend and a colleague of Dr. Ware.
Danny,
It is great to hear how the Lord is working in and through you! Praise God brother. You are in our prayers. Wishing you, your wife, and family a blessed Christmas!
Mario,
It seems like just yesterday that Stacy and I were saying goodbye to you, Stephen, and the rest at FCC to move to Louisville for seminary. My wife and I were truly blessed for the time that we had at FCC and miss you and the rest of the saints there in California. Merry Christmas to you and your wife as well! My wife and I still talk about the last day at FCC prior to driving across country to move to Kentucky for seminary. I don’t know if you know this but God used you, Stephen, and the gracious sister who prayed for us before we left to be a huge encouragement in the midst of a lot of discouragement and uncertainty in our lives at that time. You are truly a brother in the Lord! God bless you and your wife’s ministry Mario.
