One of the Many Reasons Why We Love Dr. Bob So Much!

An interview with Doug Pagitt, a highly influential Emergent Church leader. If you’ve ever wondered what Emergent’s believe and what type of apologetic method they use, after this two part interview by Todd Friel of Way of the Master Radio (approx. 15 mins), you’ll at least have pretty good idea based on the words of one of their own. As for the title of this post, you’ll have wait ’till the end…

For those who watched (and those that cheated and scrolled down to read this first), the words in this post’s title were running through my head while I was listening to this. I thought to myself: “Dr. Bob would’ve never let him get away with this!” One of the many reasons why we love Dr. Bob so much!

SM: Travis, where are these churches?

Doug Pagitt: Where?

SM: Yeah, where are the churches located that would be glad to host the debate?

Doug Pagitt: Oh, I forgot that I’m dealing with a neo-platonist. What do you mean by “location?”

SM: Never mind…

I love Dr. Bob because he has a 1st edition of Dr. Walter Martin’s book “Kingdom of the Cults.” It is an autographed copy with a long note inside back relating back to his Brooklyn days with him as a young lad.

If it wasn’t for that 1st edition, I don’t think I would like him very much.
